- Joe Salameh — Financial Analyst, Finance
- I feel so privileged to have been employed by Electric Insurance right out of college. The Analyst Development Program has allowed me to understand many different areas of the company first hand, work closely with management to accomplish goals, and to solidify my future career path. These opportunities combined with the great work atmosphere at Electric Insurance have not only fostered my growth as a person but is also helping me gain vital life experience that I will use in future endeavors.
— Bentley University – BS Mathematical Sciences
- Eli Edson — Financial Analyst
- I joined Electric insurance shortly after I graduated from college in the fall of 2007. I initially took a position in the new business department where I solidified my grasp of the insurance industry in which Electric operates and developed an understanding of additional career paths within the company. I transitioned into the analyst development program where I spent six month rotations in both the accounting and actuarial departments. The analyst program is a perfect opportunity for recent college grads to explore different analytical fields and to develop a career path at an early stage. I now work in the finance department as an analyst participating in a variety of rolls from expense planning and premium forecasting to capital budgeting projects. Electric Insurance really has provided me with more opportunities than I could have imagined in only a few short years.
— Endicott College – BS Finance
- Jocelyn Hussey — Commercial Lines Finance Manager, Finance
- I began my career at Electric Insurance just a few months after graduating college with a bachelor's degree in marketing. At the time, the job market was very competitive and I still wasn't really sure what I wanted to do. A family friend referred me for a position as a First Notice of Loss Claims Adjuster at Electric Insurance and I got the job! I took the position, thinking that it would be good chance to gain some corporate experience and get my foot in the door at a solid company with good benefits. Because of the size and nature of the company, I was able to build up my reputation and good working relationships quickly. I found that if you worked hard and produced good results, people were willing to consider you for other opportunities. For example, in my short time at Electric, I've worked as a First Notice of Loss Claims Adjuster, a Graphic Support Specialist, a Financial Analyst and a Manager. The company also supported my goal of obtaining an MBA. Five years later, I am still at Electric Insurance working as the Commercial Lines Finance Manager. I can't image working anywhere else. Electric Insurance is family-friendly and community-focused. It is the perfect size and culture for hard-working people who really want to make an impact.
— Providence College – BS Marketing
— Bentley University – MBA
- Katie Wendling — Business Trainer, Human Resources Development
- I started my career at Electric immediately after college. I was first introduced to the company at a college fair and after careful consideration of other job offers; I selected Electric Insurance because it seemed like a perfect fit for me. The benefits package was fantastic, I loved that the location was just north of Boston and close to the ocean. I am originally from Western Mass and loved how much the North Shore had to offer. I was also very attracted to the Tuition Reimbursement Program, which I have since taken advantage of to work towards my Masters Degree. Electric has truly provided me with all of the tools I have needed to advance my career thus far and I am confident that the company will aid in my continual growth going forward.
— Merrimack College – BA Psychology
- Whitney Smith — Sr. Human Resources Representative, Human Resources Development
- In college, I took part in the internship program at Electric Insurance and had immediate exposure to many departments and levels within the organization. When I graduated, I wasn't 100% sure what I wanted to do. I had minimal professional experience and needed a company that would offer me Training & Development. Through my internship experience, I knew the culture at Electric Insurance was a perfect fit. I began my career as an Insurance Account Specialist and have since transitioned to a rotational position as a Human Resources Representative, working in both Operations and Staffing & Recruiting. The rotational position has given me the tools and skills to be a cross-functional part of the Human Resources Development and Electric Insurance team.
