Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer
Doug is chairman, president, and chief executive officer of Electric Insurance Company® and joined the company in 2012. Previously, over a 33 year career with GE, he held Corporate, Business (Capital, Aviation, Healthcare), and Global executive leadership roles in Finance and Operations. Most recently, Doug was general manager of GE's Global Business Services unit.
Doug earned a B.S. in Business/Finance from the University of Connecticut in 1979. He is a graduate of GE's Executive Leadership and Financial Management Programs. Doug is a Six Sigma Black Belt.
Chief Financial Officer & Senior Vice President, Operations
Tom is the chief financial officer and senior vice president of operations for Electric Insurance. He leads the finance, information technology and customer operations teams and is also a member of the company’s board of directors. Prior to joining Electric Insurance in 2007, Tom was the pricing leader for GE Infrastructure in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Tom began his GE career in 1981, and he has held numerous financial leadership and CFO roles in the U.S. and at international sites with six GE businesses. While at GE, Tom earned his Six Sigma Master Black Belt and completed GE Leadership and Financial Management programs. He earned his B.A. from the University of South Florida.
General Counsel & Vice President, Commercial Lines Programs
David is vice president and general counsel for Electric Insurance. He leads the insured litigation, legal, workers compensation and commercial lines underwriting teams and is also a member of the company’s board of directors.
Prior to joining Electric Insurance, David was a partner for more than five years at Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal in New York and was counsel and vice president for The Equitable Life Assurance Society. He holds a B.A. from Oberlin College and a J.D. from Boston University Law School.
Vice President, Customer Operations
Maureen is the vice president of claims operations and customer service for Electric Insurance. She joined Electric Insurance in 1989 and was promoted to vice president in 2000. As vice president, Maureen leads all facets of countrywide personal lines home, auto and excess liability claims operations, in addition to the first notice of loss reporting for both personal lines and the GE appliance claims program.
Maureen earned the esteemed 2009 Women In Insurance Leadership Award from Insurance Networking News magazine, and her teams have been the proud recipients of multiple Stevie Awards from the American Business Association℠. She holds a B.A. from Ithaca College, NY.
Vice President, Commercial Lines Underwriting
Denise is the vice president of commercial lines underwriting and international programs. She joined Electric Insurance in 2009 and was promoted to vice president in 2012.
Previously, Denise held various risk management and insurance leadership positions at Liberty Mutual, New England Mutual, and Connecticut Bank & Trust. She holds a B.S. from the University of Connecticut and an MBA from Boston College, in addition to CPCU, ARM and CFA designations.
Chief Information Officer & Vice President of Information Systems
Kimberly is the chief information officer and vice president of information systems. She leads the development and execution of Electric Insurance’s multigenerational information systems plan and also serves as executive advisor to the GE Women’s Network Beverly hub.
Kimberly joined Electric Insurance in 2000 and was promoted to vice president of contact center operations in 2006. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Rochester Institute of Technology.
Chief Underwriting Officer & Senior Vice President, Personal Lines
Gerard is the chief underwriting officer and senior vice president for personal lines. He leads the personal lines underwriting, pricing, product management, actuarial, and sales and marketing teams and is also a member of the company’s board of directors.
Gerard joined Electric Insurance in 1994 as vice president of personal lines finance. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
Vice President, Sales & Marketing
Mike is the vice president of sales and marketing. He leads the personal lines sales and marketing teams and is responsible for all direct and independent agency distribution channels.
Prior to joining Electric Insurance in 2004, Mike held various field and corporate leadership roles at The Hanover Insurance Company. He holds a B.S. from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and an MBA from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business, Babson College, in addition to the CPCU designation.
Chief Compliance Officer & Vice President, Workers’ Compensation
Dean is the chief compliance officer and vice president of workers' compensation. He leads the regulatory, audit and workers compensation teams, in addition to chairing the company’s Policy Compliance Review Board and Risk Management Committee.
Prior to joining Electric Insurance in 1997, Dean held various leadership roles in claims and risk management at Liberty Mutual, Stop & Shop and Raytheon Company. He holds a B.S. from the University of Southern Maine and a J.D. from the Massachusetts School of Law.
Chief Human Resource Officer & Vice President, Human Resources & Administration
Nick is the chief human resource officer and vice president of human resources and administration. He leads the human resources, learning and development, internal communications, and facilities operations teams and is also a member of the company’s board of directors.
Prior to joining Electric Insurance in 2004, Nick held various divisional and corporate human resource leadership roles at Nokia and at Cabletron Systems. Nick holds B.S. and M.P.A. degrees from the University of New Hampshire.
Chief Technology Officer
Tom is the chief technology officer and leads the technology infrastructure, IT service and information security teams.
Prior to joining Electric Insurance in 2007, Tom was GE’s global leader for IT enterprise architecture and new product introductions for network, computer, collaboration, and voice technologies. Tom joined GE in 1993 and held leadership assignments at GE Corporate, GE Commercial Finance and GE Plastics. While at GE, he earned his Six Sigma Masters Black Belt. Tom holds a B.S. from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
