Electric Insurance Company Awards GE Volunteers

$100,000 to Support Vital Community Service Projects
Beverly, MA - February 6, 2006 - Electric
Insurance has recently awarded $100,000 in grant money to GE's "GE Volunteers" organization
to fund important community service programs across the United States.
Grants ranging from $1,000 - $5,000 have been allocated to 24 projects
through the 2005 Electric Insurance Grants Program. GE Volunteers is
comprised of GE employee and retiree volunteers who strive to make a
positive impact on communities throughout the world.
As a strong supporter of GE's commitment to improving communities and
lives through volunteerism, leadership, and camaraderie, Electric Insurance
has awarded money to fund GE community service projects for the last
8 years. Over 100 grant applications from GE Volunteers chapters were
received for the 2005 award year. Each winning project was chosen for
its uniqueness, impact on the local community, and overall volunteer
participation.

provide for projects impacting children, seniors, and entire communities.
